What you will do:

Respond to initial referrals and duty enquiries, assessing risk and determining appropriate interventions in a timely and efficient manner.
Undertake initial and comprehensive assessments, contributing to the development of the Child’s Plan in line with the GIRFEC framework.
Manage cases involving child protection concerns, participate actively in investigations, and ensure immediate safeguarding actions are taken when necessary.
Contribute to and attend child protection case conferences, strategy discussions, and multi-agency meetings to ensure integrated support for children and families.

Qualifications:

Hold a Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent).
Show evidence of continued professional development to stay updated with the latest in social care practices.

Registration & Compliance:

Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks including the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 and Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
