Job Title:
• Social Worker – MASH Team (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub)

Salary:
• £35.00 per hour

Job Purpose:
• To work within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub to ensure timely, effective safeguarding responses for children and families
• To assess risk, share information, and make informed decisions that promote the safety and wellbeing of children
• To contribute to a fast-paced, multi-agency environment focused on early intervention and child protection

Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies including police, health, education, and early help services
• Screen and assess referrals to identify risk, need, and appropriate thresholds for intervention
• Undertake robust safeguarding assessments using evidence-based practice
• Make clear, defensible decisions in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures
• Develop and recommend appropriate safeguarding actions and support plans
• Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records
• Provide professional advice and guidance to partner agencies regarding safeguarding concerns

Essential Requirements:
• Social Work England registration
• Qualified Social Worker with experience in children’s services
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, thresholds, and statutory guidance
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-agency setting
• Confident decision-maker with strong analytical and communication skills
