About the role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Speech & Language Therapist to join the SEND School Team in Burton-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children with special educational needs while enjoying the flexibility of locum work.
Working one day per week on an ongoing basis, you’ll support pupils by delivering high-quality assessments and interventions that enhance communication, learning, and overall development. What you will do

Undertake speech, language, and communication assessments for children with SEND.

Develop and deliver tailored intervention plans to meet individual needs.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to embed strategies in the classroom.

Provide guidance and training to school staff to support communication-friendly environments.

Monitor progress, review outcomes, and adapt interventions accordingly.

Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to reports for families and stakeholders.
Requirements

HCPC registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.

Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience.

Previous experience working within a school or SEND setting is essential.

A full UK driving licence is desirable, with willingness to travel between sites where required.
