Senior Social Worker – Children’s Assessment Team Location: Bridlington (YO16 7BS) Pay Rate: £27.30 PAYE or £35 Umbrella per hour Contract: Temporary Hours: 37 hours per week (09:00 – 17:00)Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to join a Children’s Assessment Team in Bridlington. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Children’s Social Worker looking for locum social work jobs within a supportive local authority setting.This Senior Social Worker role will focus on frontline safeguarding, delivering high-quality assessments, and working closely with children, young people, and families. The position offers the opportunity for hybrid working, although it is primarily office-based.Key Responsibilities: Undertake comprehensive, high-quality, evidence-based assessments within Children’s Services Carry out Section 47 investigations and contribute to safeguarding decisions Engage meaningfully with children, young people, and families to achieve positive outcomes Develop and implement safety plans, child in need plans, and SMART interim plans Participate in strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings Work collaboratively with partner agencies and wider family networks Escalate cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) where appropriate Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports for meetings and potential court proceedings Ensure accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration Significant experience within Children’s Social Work, particularly in Assessment Teams Experience undertaking Section 47 investigations and safeguarding work ABE (Achieving Best Evidence) training is essential Strong knowledge of UK Children’s Services legislation and frameworks Ability to manage complex caseloads and work independently Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills Court work experience is desirable Working Arrangements: Hybrid working available, although the role is primarily office-based Full-time hours with a consistent working pattern Working with Seven ResourcingJoin Seven Resourcing and benefit from over a decade of expertise in connecting professionals with exciting career opportunities.
