What you will do: - Attend all calls as directed by the call centre. - Conduct clinical assessments and provide high-standard care to patients detained by police or other agencies, determining fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer. - Deliver healthcare interventions for minor illnesses or injuries and escalate to appropriate services for serious conditions. - Perform forensic examinations and record injuries, offering opinions when necessary and collecting DNA evidence. - Examine police officers and staff injured on duty, recording and managing injuries suitably. - Collect specimens as required under legislation and work within the PACE legislation Code C. - Provide written statements and oral testimonies when required in court or tribunal settings. - Maintain and ensure complete and accurate clinical records are available to the company at all times. - Assess alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal, as well as mental health and learning disability assessments, when appropriate. - Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Head of Clinical Operations to support medical services development. - Comply with all post-related requirements and maintain clinical/forensic skills. - Promote policies like Equality and Diversity, Information Governance, and Safeguarding. - Use our RADAR System effectively. This role is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to adapt to the changing needs of our service, participating actively in reviews and discussions related to your duties and responsibilities. Essential:- Registered Nurse – Adult or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years qualified, or 3 years dependent on the contract. - NMC Registration or HCPC registration. - Proficiency in venipuncture. - UK residency for at least 3 years. - Relevant nursing experience in areas like A&E, ITU, EAU, SAU, Nurse Practitioner, or as drug and alcohol workers. Other nursing backgrounds will be considered. - Valid UK driving licence with access to a car for work purposes.
