This ongoing role offers an hourly rate of £32.73 and provides flexibility with both part-time and full-time hours. Operating within a hybrid model, the position supports a balanced approach to work while playing a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families across the region. Role Responsibilities Carry out comprehensive Child and Family assessments to gain a full understanding of each case. Chair core group and Child in Need meetings, providing leadership, structure, and clear direction. Prepare detailed reports, plans, and case documentation to ensure children’s needs and welfare remain at the forefront. Attend Pre-Proceedings meetings and present evidence for court proceedings in compliance with legal standards. Work closely with children and families subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings, and court interventions. Undertake additional social work duties as delegated by management, contributing effectively to the safeguarding service.
