Potential to Increase Days in September 2026The schoolYou will be based at a well-regarded SEN provision, in Ilford supporting children with a range of needs including: Autism (ASC)Developmental delaysSensory processing differencesFine and gross motor challengesSEMH needs and communication difficulties The school has a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support.The Role – Occupational Therapist (Band 5 or 6)Working one day per week, you will: Provide assessments, interventions, and therapy plans for children with diverse occupational needsSupport pupils with sensory regulation, motor skills, functional skills, and access to learningCollaborate with teaching and SEN teams to implement occupational therapy strategiesDeliver 1:1 and group interventions based on children’s EHCP targetsOffer guidance and training to staff to help embed OT strategies in the classroomMaintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews and multi-agency reports There is potential for this role to increase to more days from September 2026.Person SpecificationEssential: Qualified Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered)Band 5 or Band 6 levelStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently within a school settingPassion for supporting children and young people Desirable: Experience working with children or in an SEN schoolKnowledge of sensory integration and paediatric OT approaches Why Apply?
