This is an initial 6-month contract, offering 26.25 hours per week within the Adult Learning Service. You will be delivering high-quality teaching and learning in multiple locations throughout the vibrant city of Liverpool. What you will do: Teach up to 24 hours per week across different curriculum pathways in varied contexts and locations.Incorporate innovative delivery methods, including digital ICT, into a contextualised and embedded learning experience.Offer initial advice, guidance, and assessment for all learners.Plan and implement high-quality, appropriate, and relevant learning activities tailored to the needs of the learners.Get involved in course development, including designing training packages and creating suitable learning materials and resources.Identify and meet individual learner needs through initial assessments, personalised action planning, and recording progress and achievements.Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, develop, and deliver engaging learning programmes and materials.Adhere to and support the implementation of service quality assurance standards, systems, and procedures, whilst contributing to observations of teaching, learning, and assessment (OTLA).Contribute to self-assessment reviews of learning areas and participate in professional development activities.Carry out assessments to evidence learning and participate in moderation meetings.Assist in the marketing of courses and learner recruitment efforts.Liaise with appropriate staff to ensure the smooth running, planning, and delivery of courses.Stay informed of current policies and practices within the Adult Learning Service.Conduct regular risk assessments in line with health and safety legislation, collaborating with Pathway Leaders and Business Support managers.Implement the Adult Learning Service policies for Quality Improvement and Assurance and Equality and Diversity.Maintain service-compliant course documentation and stay updated on developments in the field of adult learning.Mentor sessional tutors and identify suitable progression routes for learners.
