This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with at least 3 years’ post-qualified experience to work within a dynamic local authority environment supporting children with complex needs and their families.This role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in child protection, children in care, SEND, and disability services, as well as exposure to court work and multi-agency safeguarding processes.Key Responsibilities Case Management & Safeguarding Manage a varied caseload involving children in need, child protection, and children in careWork with children who have complex disabilities and/or health needsUndertake assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with statutory requirementsEnsure all safeguarding concerns are managed effectively in line with legislation Court Work & Legal Processes Prepare and present reports for family court and Court of Protection proceedingsDemonstrate knowledge of mental capacity and legal frameworksAttend court hearings and contribute to decision-making processes Family Support & Intervention Work closely with families to deliver strength-based interventions and support plansAssess the need for short breaks and respite servicesPromote positive outcomes for children through early intervention and long-term planning Multi-Agency Working Collaborate with health professionals, education providers, and other stakeholdersContribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and safeguarding conferencesEnsure effective communication across all partner agencies Requirements To be considered for this Children’s Social Worker Job in Nottingham, you must have: Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with current registrationMinimum 3 years’ experience in Children’s Social CareStrong experience in child protection, children in care, and safeguardingExperience working with children with disabilities and complex health needsKnowledge of SEND legislation and short breaks assessmentsExperience in court work, including family court and Court of ProtectionUnderstanding of mental capacity frameworks Essential Skills Excellent assessment and report-writing skillsStrong knowledge of UK social care legislation and safeguarding frameworksAbility to manage a complex caseload in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and partnership working skillsStrong organisational and time management abilities Additional Requirements Full UK driving licenceAccess to a vehicle and willingness to travel as required  Working with Seven ResourcingJoin Seven Resourcing and benefit from over a decade of expertise in connecting professionals with exciting career opportunities.
