What You Will Do: Respond promptly to all calls as directed, performing thorough clinical assessments to deliver high-quality care while detainees are under police or other agency custody. Evaluate detainees' fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer, providing healthcare interventions for minor illnesses or injuries, and making referrals for more serious conditions. Conduct forensic examinations, documenting injuries and collecting DNA evidence as needed. Provide medical evaluations of police officers or staff injured on duty, offering professional injury assessments. Collect specimens as per legal requirements and adhere to the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) Code C. Draft written statements and provide oral testimony in courts or tribunals as necessary. Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records, ensuring availability even after contract completion. Assess and manage alcohol and drug intoxication or withdrawal, as well as mental health and learning disabilities. Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Head of Clinical Operations to enhance medical services. Utilize our RADAR System to its full potential.
