Cad Technician in Welshpool

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established fabrication business in their search for a CAD Technician to work in Welshpool

Job Details:

• Pay: up £40 per hour
• Hours of Work: 38 hours per week across 4 or 5 days
• Duration: Contract (3 months)

Job Role: The CAD Technician will be responsible for modifying existing sheet metal and fabrication drawings to meet specific customer requirements. The CAD Technician will work within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring all drawings and processes meet required standards. The CAD Technician will liaise closely with workshop and production personnel to ensure designs are practical and achievable. This role offers flexibility, with the CAD Technician able to work remotely once initial training has been completed.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar CAD Technician role
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D
• Experience working with sheet metal or fabrication drawings

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Experience with 3D AutoCAD
• SolidWorks experience
• Knowledge of other 3D design software

Additional Information

• Remote working available after initial 2–3 week training period
• Working within a structured ISO 9001 environment
