Beluga Rox are searching for a Compliance Officer to work within our clients' Compliance team in Southport.

The Compliance Officer will support the Senior Compliance Officer by conducting pre-badge compliance checks for staff being onboarded or rebadged across Alcedo Care’s branches. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to identify compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The Compliance Officer is responsible for checking staff applications meet the current legal and regulatory requirements for safe recruitment. You will work closely with the recruitment hub onboarding team, Compliance and HR team to ensure the onboarding and badging process is as efficient and effective as possible, whilst retaining a clear separation of duties.

Core responsibilities

•            Understand and work within the structure and ethos of our client

•            Provide administrative support to the Compliance Team

•            Check applications being submitted meet the compliance requirements and are appropriately evidenced.

•            Provide clear and constructive feedback to onboarding teams ensuring they understand and can act upon findings from compliance checks

•            Develop positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels, adopting a collaborative partnership approach to improvement.

•            Participate in supervision sessions, ongoing professional development, and formal training as required.

•            Ensure responsiveness to the differing needs of staff and customers across.

•            Undertake any other relevant duties related to onboarding, quality assurance and compliance.

•            Develop strong working relationships with onboarding teams, managers and compliance colleagues.

•            Foster a collaborative approach to improving compliance standards.

•            Communicate findings timely, clearly and constructively.

What you need for this role

•            Professional telephone manner

•            Ability to work in a fast-moving environment

•            Experience in compliance requirements for safe recruitment of health and social care staff.

•            Knowledge of CQC/CIW/ OFSTED safe recruitment requirements.

•            Ability to work independently, managing workload and deadlines effectively.

•            Strong analytical and audit skills to identify compliance against the requirements and best practices.

•            Ability to communicate compliance findings clearly to colleagues at all levels.

•            Experience of working within a regulatory or compliance role.

•            Understanding of continuous quality improvement processes within a care environment.

•            Ability to work positively and constructively with colleagues and management teams.
