A vibrant and ambitious primary school in Bolton is seeking to appoint a motivated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team in September, taking responsibility for a Year 2 class. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Key Stage 1 Teacher looking to join a school with a strong sense of direction, a supportive ethos, and a genuine commitment to both pupil and staff success.

About the School

This is a school that has established itself as a positive and progressive place to work and learn. With a recent ‘Good’ OFSTED outcome, leaders have successfully created a culture built around high expectations, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. The school places a strong emphasis on developing confident, independent learners while also ensuring every child feels supported and understood.

Staff are encouraged to bring new ideas into the classroom, and there is a clear focus on collaboration across year groups. Every Key Stage 1 Teacher is part of a team that values shared planning, open dialogue, and consistency in practice. The leadership team is approachable and actively involved in day-to-day school life, offering guidance while also allowing teachers the autonomy to develop their own teaching style.

Beyond academics, the school offers a broad and enriching curriculum, with opportunities for pupils to engage in creative subjects, outdoor learning, and wider experiences that enhance their development.

The Role – Key Stage 1 Teacher

In this position, the Key Stage 1 Teacher will:

  • Lead a Year 2 class, taking full ownership of teaching and learning
  • Deliver engaging lessons that follow the national curriculum and meet pupil needs
  • Guide pupils through their final year of KS1, including assessment preparation
  • Establish clear routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour
  • Adapt teaching strategies to ensure all children make progress
  • Work closely with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community

The successful Key Stage 1 Teacher will create a classroom environment where pupils feel motivated, challenged, and supported in equal measure.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Key Stage 1 Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply)
  • Has a secure understanding of KS1 curriculum and expectations
  • Is committed to raising standards and improving outcomes
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and sharing best practice
  • Demonstrates a positive, proactive approach to teaching

What the School Can Offer

  • Main Pay Scale salary
  • A structured and ongoing CPD programme for every Key Stage 1 Teacher

  • Opportunities to develop professionally and take on additional responsibilities
  • A welcoming school environment with a clear vision for the future

This role is ideal for a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher who is looking to join a school where their contribution will be valued and their development supported.
