Locum Dental Nurse in Derby, Derbyshire

Flourish Medical is seeking experienced Locum Dental Nurses to work with a range of dental practices across Derby and surrounding towns, including Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Burton upon Trent, Belper, and Ripley.

Please note: We are unable to accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship. UK dental nursing experience is essential, and you must be fully qualified and registered with the GDC.

Working with Flourish Medical as a Locum Dental Nurse offers you:

· £18 per hour competitive locum rate – equates to £33,696 per annum based on 36 hours

Required Skills & Experience for this Locum Dental Nurse:

· Be a fully qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration.

· Have recent UK-based dental nursing experience.

· Be confident working chairside in a fast-paced clinical environment.

· Knowledge of dental software systems (e.g. SOE, R4 or similar)

· Have a solid understanding of cross-infection protocols, decontamination processes, and CQC requirements.

· Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS and valid indemnity cover.

As a Locum Dental Nurse, your responsibilities may include:

· Assisting dentists chairside during a wide range of treatments

· Preparing and maintaining clinical rooms before and after procedures

· Ensuring strict adherence to infection control and decontamination standards

· Supporting and reassuring patients throughout their visit

· Keeping accurate, up-to-date clinical records

· Working closely with reception and clinical teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Assignments are available throughout Derby city centre and nearby locations such as Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Burton upon Trent, Belper, and Ripley. Most practices are easily accessible by car and public transport, making this a practical option for Dental Nurses based in or around Derbyshire.
