Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Location: Doveridge

Salary: £50,000 - £53,000

Shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Doveridge. This site operates within a fast paced production environment and relies heavily on high speed packaging machinery to support its production output. The successful Maintenance Engineer will join a skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of critical packaging equipment across the site.

This role would suit a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working on automated machinery and thrives in a hands-on maintenance environment. The successful Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring packaging lines operate efficiently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance as well as responding to breakdowns across a range of packaging machinery and production equipment. The Maintenance Engineer will be heavily involved in mechanical fault finding, repairs and component replacements to maximise machine uptime and maintain production efficiency.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

• Strong mechanical maintenance background

• Experience maintaining packaging machinery

• Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance within a manufacturing environment

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Experience maintaining high speed packaging machinery

• Strong mechanical fault finding and repair skills

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment

• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs efficiently

Desirable Requirements

• Experience maintaining flow wrappers or envelope packaging machines

• Mechanical engineering qualification or apprenticeship

• Basic electrical fault finding skills
