Mig Welder in Stoke-on-trent, Staffordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy manufacturing client in the Staffordshire area for an experienced MIG Welder to join a skilled fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to secure a long-term position within a busy, production-focused environment working on large-scale structural metalwork.

The Job Role

• MIG welding of heavy-gauge steel components and fabricated assemblies in a high-volume production environment
• Interpreting and working directly from engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications
• Fitting and tacking sub-assemblies prior to final welding, ensuring correct alignment and dimensional accuracy
• Carrying out visual inspection of completed welds, identifying and rectifying defects to maintain quality standards
• Operating and setting up MIG welding equipment
• Working to production targets and schedules whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship
• Adhering to all site health, safety, and PPE requirements at all times

What We're Looking For

• Proven MIG welding experience in a heavy fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Confident ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols — essential
• Experience welding heavy-gauge or structural steel in multiple positions
• Reliable, quality-conscious, and able to work to production deadlines
• Full commitment to health, safety, and PPE compliance

• Day Shifts: Monday to Thursday, with an early finish on Friday
• Nights Shifts: Monday to Thursday
