Registered Nurse - Rapid Response Team
£30 per hour – Day Shifts
£32 per hour – Night Shifts
Preston & Carlisle | North of England (Regional Role)
Travel required therefore a driving license and access to your own care is essential.
Alcedo Care are recruiting experienced Registered Nurses with Tracheostomy experience to join our Rapid Response Team (RRT) delivering complex care to clients in their own homes.
This is a dynamic regional role supporting clients and branch teams by covering urgent shifts, fast-track hospital discharges and complex care packages when additional clinical support is required.

The Role – Rapid Response Nurse
As part of the Rapid Response Team, you will provide clinical nursing support across multiple complex care packages when additional expertise is required.
This includes covering urgent shifts and supporting new care packages during mobilisation.
Your role may include:
• Covering clinical shifts within complex care packages
• Supporting fast-track hospital discharge packages
• Delivering tracheostomy care and complex clinical interventions
• Assessing and reviewing clients within their homes
• Updating care plans and supporting safe care delivery
• Providing clinical leadership and guidance to carers and healthcare assistants
• Supporting staff competencies and clinical training where required
• Communicating with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensuring care is delivered in line with NMC standards
This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to support multiple complex care packages across the region.
Key Requirements
✔ Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN
✔ Tracheostomy experience – essential
✔ Full UK driving licence
✔ Ability to travel between clients and branch teams
✔ Experience within complex care / community nursing
Experience with the following is desirable:
• Long-term ventilation / NIV
• Spinal injuries
• Brain injury
• Neurological conditions
• PEG feeding
• Cough assist
• Epilepsy & rescue medication
• Cerebral palsy
