Overview
We are supporting a key client with an urgent requirement for an experienced Release Manager to join a large-scale transformation programme. This is a newly created, high-impact role where you will take ownership of establishing and leading release management processes across a complex delivery environment.

The client has recently experienced challenges with external vendors, so they are looking for a confident and reliable release leader who can bring structure, visibility, and control to their delivery function.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing release schedules and dependencies across multiple workstreams
• Running stage gate reviews and consolidating SIT and UAT test outputs
• Overseeing Test Data Management and Data Migration ETL planning, Tracking Defects, and producing release notes and coordinating go/no-go events
• Lead and coordinate end-to-end release management across multiple projects and environments
• Establish and embed release management processes and governance from the ground up
• Manage multiple concurrent releases, ensuring alignment across technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Act as the central point of coordination for all release activities
• Work closely with delivery teams across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and migration programmes
• Oversee vendor contributions and ensure accountability across third parties
• Provide clear and consistent communication to senior stakeholders, particularly in a high-pressure environment
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with release activities

Key Requirements

• Experience coordinating multi-vendor releases across multiple platforms like Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Dynamics 365 within large-scale digital transformation programmes
• Confident working across boundaries with third-party vendors
• Comfortable with Azure DevOps (including CI/CD pipelines) and ServiceNow, and able to bring structure and clarity to a complex delivery environment
• Extensive Release Management experience
• Proven track record managing releases in large, complex programmes
• Strong experience working with:-
• Large-scale data or system migrations
• Demonstrated ability to set up and mature release processes within organisations
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience managing multiple vendors and delivery streams
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Additional Information
Preference for candidates based in or not too far from Manchester due to on-site requirements
