What you will do:

Case Leadership: Lead and manage complex safeguarding and DoLS cases in line with legislation and policy

Expert Guidance: Provide specialist advice on safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, and DoLS

Team Collaboration: Work with colleagues to share knowledge and enhance service delivery

Multi-Agency Working: Represent the team in meetings and contribute to decision-making

Team Support: Participate in case discussions, offering leadership and professional guidance
Responsibilities / General Duties:

Deputy Support: Deputise for the Team Manager and support operational delivery

Line Management: Supervise and guide a small team of qualified social workers

Stakeholder Engagement: Work with service users, families, and professionals to achieve best outcomes
Essential Criteria / Qualifications Summary:

Qualifications: Professional Social Work or Occupational Therapy qualification with SWE or HCPC registration

CPD: Evidence of post-qualification study and ongoing professional development

Specialist Training: Training in BIA/DoLS, AMHP, and Practice Education

IT Skills: Proficiency in IT systems for case management and communication
Experience / Knowledge Summary:

Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Social Worker, including safeguarding and BIA/MCA work

Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act

Leadership: Proven experience managing complex cases and supporting team development
