What you will do:

• Manage a complex caseload across Family Help, Child in Need (Section 17), and Child Protection (Section 47).

• Undertake statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.

• Lead and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.

• Deliver targeted family interventions, promoting early help, prevention, and sustainable outcomes.

• Prepare high-quality reports for court, conferences, and reviews, including involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO) where required.

Person Specification:

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) required along with evidence of continued professional development.

• Must be registered with Social Work England and demonstrate strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks like the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

• Enhanced DBS clearance is pivotal for this role.
