Social Worker – Children In Need Team, Leicester, £38 Hourly, Ongoing
We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the dynamic Children In Need Team based in Leicester. With a competitive hourly rate of £38, flexible hybrid working (in office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and structured hours from Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 5:00 pm and 4:30 pm closing on Fridays), this role offers both professional challenge and work-life balance. What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments regarding the needs and safety of children and families.
- Formulate care plans and support interventions that promote positive outcomes.
- Undertake necessary court work to defend the best interests of the child, alongside a dedicated legal team.
- Maintain approximately 20 cases, primarily within Leicester city, whilst handling a variety of needs and complexities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective service delivery and maintain safeguarding standards.
- Participate actively in team meetings held at Halford House, contributing to the strategic direction and case discussions.
Candidates must have three years of permanent post-qualifying experience and strong court work and child protection expertise, areas where our team excels due to their high-pressure environment.
