What you will do:

  • Manage a caseload of children involved in care proceedings.

  • Prepare and present high-quality court reports, statements, and evidence.

  • Undertake parenting and risk assessments.

  • Work closely with legal services to progress cases through court.

  • Attend court hearings and legal planning meetings.

  • Develop and progress care and permanence plans for children.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.

  • Registered with Social Work England.

  • Enhanced DBS and Right to Work in the UK.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of care proceedings and court processes.

  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to present evidence confidently in court.

  • Strong safeguarding and risk management abilities.

  • Ability to manage complex and high-risk cases.

  • Effective communication and multi-agency working skills.

Experience:

  • Significant post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care.

  • Experience within a Court Team or legal planning environment.

  • Experience managing care proceedings cases.

  • Experience in multi-agency partnership working.
