Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (09:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

Here’s an exhilarating opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Youth Offending Team in Wolverhampton. We are seeking an individual who is social work or probation officer trained with invaluable Youth Justice Service experience to make a real difference over the next three months. As part of this role, you will be helping children transition smoothly from Youth Justice Services to probation, ensuring their journey is well-guided. What’s more, with a fantastic hourly rate of £30.57, this five-day-a-week role offers the perfect balance of office work and opportunities to engage with the community – some visits and fieldwork sprinkled with a dash of flexibility for working from home. A driving licence will be essential for this role to move effortlessly across locations.

What you will do:

- Work closely with young people in the Youth Justice Service preparing them for transition and integration into the probation framework.
- Manage and plan interventions aimed at preventing reoffending, while providing comprehensive support to youth and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess risk and develop rehabilitation plans.
- Record and report on each case effectively, maintaining high standards of documentation in line with organisational requirements.
- Attend and contribute to meetings and court appearances as necessary, advocating for the needs and best interests of the young individuals under your care.
