As a Locum Housing Concierge, you will be working full-time, providing support and security to the residents of Home Group's supported accommodation. Job purpose: The role is to maintain a presence at Home Group’s supported accommodation, which may include waking cover overnight and at weekends during hours specified by the Senior Client Service Manager or Client Services Manager. You will work predominantly alone, ensuring a safe and secure environment for occupants, fostering community harmony, and maintaining the building's security when other staff are not present. What you will do: - Provide an on-site presence in supported accommodation settings, ensuring safety and security. - Assist with the management of the accommodation environment at night or at other times when staff are not present. - Respond to emergencies as required, liaising with emergency services if needed. - Support residents and answer any queries they may have during your shifts. - Help to create a harmonious community by addressing concerns or incidents that may impact resident relations. - Conduct regular safety and security checks of the premises. - Record and report incidents accurately and promptly, ensuring that all information is conveyed to the appropriate staff members. Requirements: - Previous experience in a social housing or care setting, whether paid or voluntary, would be beneficial. - Basic numeracy and literacy skills are needed. - A broad knowledge of issues affecting vulnerable people is essential. - Capability to maintain confidentiality and a clear understanding of equal opportunities. - Knowledge of health and safety is important. - Initiative to identify required actions and take measures accordingly. - Basic computer literacy to manage reporting and communication. - Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
