The company supports major industrial clients with breakdown response, project work and installations, making it an excellent opportunity for engineers seeking varied work, technical development and long-term progression.You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned work on a range of heavy industrial equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and performance across client sites.Sector – Heavy Industry / Power Generation / Petrochemical Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Field Service Engineer• Strong mechanical maintenance experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance on rotating equipment.• Engineering qualification Requirements for the Mechanical Field Service Engineer.• Experience working on pumps (centrifugal), conveyors, bearings, drives, gearboxes and pipework. • Ability to fault find and resolve mechanical issues independently. • Confident using measuring equipment for alignment and tolerances. • Ability to produce clear reports including findings, condition assessments and recommendations. • Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Field Service Engineer• Experience working within power generation or petrochemical environments. • Experience supporting or leading planned outages and project work. • Basic hydraulics experience.
