What you will do:

• Play a pivotal role in assessing and managing risk where children and young people have experienced or are at risk of significant harm, aiming to prevent the need for statutory interventions.

• Critically gather and analyse information to inform robust risk assessments and support planning within a Family Help environment.

• Oversee and guide complex and varied caseloads under appropriate supervision, applying relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.

• Engage in and supervise the development of team members, providing support and mentorship to newly qualified social workers and students.

• Actively participate in multi-agency meetings, optimise communication skills, and effectively respond to high-pressure situations.

• Ensure all involved parties, including children, young people, and families, contribute to assessments and interventions to guarantee their voices are heard.

• Keep abreast of sector developments through continuous professional development.
