What you will do:
- Provide specialist dietetic assessment and treatment programmes to adult patients in their own homes, care homes, and intermediate care units, including those requiring Home Enteral Tube Feeding.
- Make clinical judgements and provide explanations regarding nutritional status, formulating and delivering individualised treatment plans.
- Advise GPs on the appropriate prescribing of oral nutrition supplements and enteral feeds, following local guidelines.
- Offer training, support, and guidance on nutritional screening and prescribing practices.
- Contribute to service development for Nutritional Support and Home Enteral Tube Feeding by participating in policy creation and strategy development.
- Evaluate your clinical work through evidence-based projects, audits, and outcome measures.
- Manage your specialist caseload for clients at risk of malnutrition, maintaining thorough and accurate records.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration is essential to ensure high standards of professional practice.
- A valid driving licence is required so you can easily visit various locations within the community.
