Play a key role in supporting busy construction projects with your organisation and attention to detail!

 

Job Title: Construction Administrator
Location: Birchwood, Warrington
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Working Pattern: Office-based with 1 day working from home once established

 


 

The Role

 

This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven administrative position supporting a construction team. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. There is also an element of HR administration involved.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide administrative support to the Construction Director and wider team
  • Assist in managing health & safety documentation across sites
  • Prepare, update, and maintain procedures and site paperwork
  • Track site visits and ensure all required documentation is completed
  • Coordinate, book, and maintain records of staff training
  • Monitor staff holidays and absences
  • Maintain and update internal systems (e.g. Wise, PowerPlus)
  • Process weekly timesheets in collaboration with payroll
  • Prepare reports and take meeting minutes
  • Organise meetings and manage diaries
  • Distribute NHBC reports to relevant teams
  • Maintain accurate plot records and certification documentation
  • Act as a key point of contact for the construction department
  • Provide cover for other administrative staff when required
  • Handle all information with a high level of confidentiality

 


 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Previous experience in construction or housebuilding administration (preferred)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and confident using internal systems
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and team-oriented approach
