About the Role
Our client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor based at the Hampton office, with hybrid working and site involvement on a major project.
Reporting directly to the Managing QS, you’ll play a key role in managing several high-value accounts or overseeing the full financial performance of smaller projects—giving you real ownership and impact from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing applications, valuations, and cost value reconciliation
- Driving cost control, forecasting, and monthly reporting (value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow)
- Overseeing supply chain management and subcontractor relationships
- Supporting Risk & Value Management to optimise project outcomes
- Handling contract management, including NEC/IChemE frameworks and budgetary control
- Preparing subcontract enquiries, negotiating and setting up contracts
- Ensuring all contractual documentation and notifications are up to date
- Promoting a strong health & safety culture, escalating risks where needed
- Maintaining close liaison with site teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Providing commercial and contractual advice to project teams
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- RICS accredited or working towards APC
- Background working with a main contractor
Desirable:
- Experience within the Water sector
- Knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts
