Job Title:Senior Children’s Social Worker – Child Protection / Safeguarding (Temporary, Hybrid)

Pay: £24.95 per hour (PAYE) | £32.73 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract:Temporary
Hours:37 per week, Mon–Fri 08:30–17:00 (condensed hours may be considered)
Hybrid Working:Yes, flexible arrangements available

Role Overview
Seven Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Senior Children’s Social Workerto join Durham County Council’s busy safeguarding team. This temporary role offers the opportunity to work within a hybrid model while supporting children and families across Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Children & Families assessments and write care plans
Chair Core Groups and Child in Need meetings
Prepare reports for children in care and court submissions
Attend PLO meetings and provide evidence in court as required
Work directly with children and families under CIN, CP, and PLO frameworks
Undertake other social work duties as directed by your manager

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with relevant child protection experience
Proven experience in CIN, CP, PLO, and Court work
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a safeguarding team
Flexibility to work hybrid or condensed hours as service needs dictate
