An exciting locum opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Support and Protect Team in Carlisle. This 3-month assignment offers a competitive rate of £45 per hour plus £100 weekly expenses. The role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring office attendance 3 days per week and remote working for 2 days, with a duty week in the office every 5 weeks. Please note that all role requirements are non-negotiable, and condensed hours are not available.

What you will do:

• Assess and support the needs of children and families within the Support and Protect Team.

• Develop and implement effective care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and comprehensive support.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed case records in line with statutory requirements.

• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and planning discussions.

• Provide advice and professional guidance to colleagues and service users.

• Respond to emergency situations during duty weeks, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients.
