3D CAD / BIM Technician – Water –
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £30,000 – £45,000
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)
Work pattern: Office at least 3 days per week
An established organisation is seeking an experienced 3D CAD / BIM Technician to join a growing design team delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
You’ll be responsible for producing high‑quality 3D models and technical drawings, coordinating across disciplines, and supporting project delivery through effective BIM processes. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement of digital design workflows.
Key responsibilities:
Creating and managing detailed 3D models and technical drawings
Multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection
Ensuring compliance with design standards and quality processes
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Contributing to the development of effective BIM workflows
About you:
5+ years’ experience as a CAD/BIM Technician
Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD (or similar tools)
Experience working on complex, coordinated models
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience
