What you will do:
- Perform intricate microtomy tasks, including handling of cores, with precision and attention to detail.
- Undertake IQC for HEs and special stains ensuring standards are met and maintained.
- Conduct accurate embedding, including working with cores in a meticulous and organised manner.
- Engage in the critical process of specimen clip up, ensuring each process is executed smoothly and efficiently.

Skills and experience required:
- Proficiency in techniques such as Microtomy, IQC for HEs and special stains, and specimen clip up.
- Experience with embedding (including cores).
- HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science or equivalent.
- Completion of the IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Pathology is desirable, but equivalent substantial experience will be considered.
