What you will do:

- Respond proactively to emergency referrals related to child protection, vulnerable adults, and safeguarding issues.
- Carry out risk assessments and make urgent decisions to ensure immediate safety.
- Initiate and coordinate emergency interventions, including organising temporary accommodation or care placements.
- Operate within legal frameworks, including the Children Act 1989 and Care Act 2014.
- Collaborate with key partner agencies such as police, health services, and other emergency services.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to professionals and the public.
- Make crucial decisions regarding emergency protection measures, such as police protection or emergency duty applications.
- Maintain precise and timely case records.
- Ensure smooth handover of cases to daytime social work teams.
- Take part in the on-call rota, including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
