What you will do:

- Handle a diverse caseload of children and families requiring statutory social work intervention, ensuring each case is managed with care and precision.
- Conduct thorough assessments and reviews to develop effective plans that safeguard children and promote their wellbeing.
- Engage with children under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children processes, fulfilling statutory responsibilities diligently.
- Carry out safeguarding enquiries to address concerns about the safety or welfare of a child swiftly and effectively.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, young people, and families to foster positive, long-lasting change.
- Collaborate with partner agencies such as health, education, housing, and police to coordinate comprehensive support and services.
- Prepare detailed, high-quality reports for child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings when needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings according to local authority policies and professional standards.
- Ensure the views, wishes, and lived experiences of children and young people are at the heart of all assessments and planning.
