What you will do:
Manage a varied caseload of safeguarding cases, including Children in Need CIN and Child Protection
Undertake thorough child and family assessments and develop effective care and protection plans
Identify and manage risks to ensure timely and appropriate safeguarding interventions
Participate actively in strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core groups
Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for court proceedings and statutory meetings
Person specification:
Qualifications:
You should hold a degree or an equivalent qualification in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England. A current enhanced DBS and the right to work in the UK are essential.
Key Skills:
Proficient in safeguarding and risk assessment
Knowledgeable about child protection legislation and frameworks
Excellent at communication and report writing
Able to manage complex cases and work effectively under pressure
Strong organisational and case management abilities
Adept at working in a multi-agency safeguarding environment
Experience:
You will have post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care and have worked within a Safeguarding or Child Protection Team. You should be experienced in managing complex safeguarding cases and have a history of effective multi-agency partnership working.
