Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Occupational Therapy Service in Enfield. This ongoing locum role offers full-time hours and a competitive pay rate of up to £29 per hour, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced paediatric OT to further develop their skills within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

In this role, you will work with children and young people aged 0–18 years, delivering high-quality occupational therapy interventions that support independence, development, and participation in daily activities across a range of settings.

What You Will Do

  • Provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy service to children aged 0–18 years referred to the Enfield Children’s Occupational Therapy Department.

  • Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions to support children’s functional development and independence.

  • Lead and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the Children’s Occupational Therapy Service.

  • Manage a defined caseload, delivering interventions in settings including community clinics, schools, and Durants School.

  • Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and outcome evaluations tailored to each child’s needs.

  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, teachers, and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification.

  • Registration: Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children and young people within paediatric occupational therapy services is desirable.

  • Additional Requirement: Ability to drive and travel across service locations as part of the role.
