What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of children and families, providing support in Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17) cases.

• Conduct statutory assessments, risk assessments, and devise care planning strategies, ensuring timely interventions for safeguarding.

• Lead and participate in child protection conferences, core group meetings, and multi-agency strategy discussions.

• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for Looked After Children (LAC) reviews, child protection conferences, and court proceedings.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with proof of continued professional development.

• Registration & Compliance: Registered with Social Work England and understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks, such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Care Planning, Placement and Case Review Regulations. Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
