What you will do:- Complete clear and concise court reports, providing evidence and presenting high-quality reports in various legal settings. - Engage with service users, stakeholders, and partner agencies to improve service delivery. - Keep abreast of legal and practice developments, maintaining and updating policies and procedures. - Ensure that practice aligns with equal opportunities legislation and policies. - Attend court regularly to receive referrals and directions. - Collaborate with families, advocates, and agencies to achieve the best outcomes for involved parties. - Provide mediation services as an alternative to contested court proceedings. - Maintain accurate records and compile statistical information for management. - Commit to ongoing training to stay informed on all matters related to the role of FPA. Essential:- A degree or master's degree in social work with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in working with children and families. - Current registration with Social Work England and a commitment to ongoing professional development. - Proven experience in court proceedings with strong communication skills to work effectively with families in crisis. - Ability to analyse complex information and form evidence-based recommendations for reports. - Maintain strict confidentiality and have a good understanding of Data Protection. - Flexibility in organising and delivering services. - Experience with anti-discriminatory practices and equal opportunity procedures. - Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. - A valid driving licence.
