Role Overview
We are searching for an enthusiastic Band 3 Support Worker to join our Autism Hub Team at Le Vieux Jardin in Guernsey. This is an exciting full-time role within a 24-hour support environment, where you will work closely with a team to assist adults with autism and/or profound and multiple learning disabilities. The team fosters independence and empowerment using the Active Support Model, focusing on doing things with the service users rather than for them, and promoting choice, participation, and independence.
This is an ideal role for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals, providing person-centred care and supporting individuals to achieve their daily goals and aspirations.

What You Will Do

Support adults with autism within their purpose-built bungalows, assisting with activities such as personal care, medication management, cooking, cleaning, and community access.

Implement the Active Support Model, ensuring activities promote choice and independence.

Serve as a co-key worker, maintaining individual care plans and support strategies tailored to each service user.

Participate in a 24-hour shift system, including nights and weekends, requiring a flexible approach to the role.

Drive service vehicles as necessary to ensure individuals can access community activities and resources.
