What You Will Do

  • Safeguarding Children: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children placed with Regulation 24 Family and Friends foster carers.

  • Support Foster Carers: Build and maintain strong relationships with foster carers and children, offering guidance and support to help them thrive.

  • Supervise Caseload: Manage and supervise a caseload of foster carers, ensuring compliance with National Minimum Standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Assessments & Case Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and review foster carers’ suitability, planning care and interventions as necessary.

  • Direct Work with Children: Engage directly with children to understand their lived experiences and integrate their voices into care planning.

  • Foster Carer Support: Provide guidance to foster carers, especially when facing challenging behaviours, and help them navigate obstacles.

  • Collaboration with Partners: Work alongside external partners and stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned on care plans and objectives.

  • Training & Resources: Facilitate training sessions for foster carers and ensure they have access to resources to support the child’s development and wellbeing.

  • Duty Cover & Out-of-Hours Support: Participate in duty cover and manage out-of-hours calls when needed, ensuring continuity of care.

  • Adhere to Safeguarding Protocols: Uphold all safeguarding policies and ensure that practices align with legislative and regulatory standards.
