Low Carbon Manager – Building (North)

We’re excited to be partnered with a leading UK construction and infrastructure business on a standout opportunity for a Low Carbon Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of low‑carbon buildings across the North of England and East Midlands.

This is a high‑profile, influential role where you’ll act as the go‑to expert on low‑carbon construction—advising senior leaders, shaping strategy, and working hands‑on with project teams to turn Net Zero ambition into real, measurable outcomes. If you’re passionate about reducing carbon at scale and want to make a visible impact across major projects, this role offers both influence and variety.

What you’ll be doing

  • Driving the Low‑Carbon Agenda- Leading the regional response to low‑carbon construction, helping embed carbon reduction into design, delivery, and everyday decision‑making.
  • Advising at Senior Level- Acting as a trusted subject‑matter expert to senior leadership teams, influencing strategy and investment on the journey to Net Zero.
  • Delivering Practical Solutions- Advising on whole‑life low‑carbon design and construction solutions that balance sustainability with cost, programme, and buildability.
  • Owning Carbon Data & Reporting- Supporting carbon measurement, monitoring performance, and translating data into meaningful insights for internal targets and client requirements.
  • Engaging the Wider Industry- Collaborating with clients, consultants, suppliers, and industry bodies to accelerate carbon reduction across the value chain.

Who they’re looking for

  • An Experienced Built Environment Professional- With 5+ years’ experience across construction, design, engineering, consultancy, or carbon management.
  • A Carbon Champion- Passionate about low‑carbon construction and motivated by the challenge of delivering Net Zero in the real world.
  • A Confident Influencer- Comfortable building relationships and engaging effectively with senior leaders, project teams, and external stakeholders.
  • A Pragmatic Problem‑Solver- Someone who understands buildability and can turn sustainability principles into practical, deliverable solutions.
  • A Natural Communicator & Educator- Confident delivering training, presentations, and sharing best practice across teams and projects.

This role offersflexible and agile working, exposure to major projects, and the chance to genuinely shape how low‑carbon construction is delivered across a significant part of the UK.
