Pay Rate: £39.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Full-Time | Temporary
Duration: May 2026 – August 2026 (Initial Contract)
Hours: 37 per week

Make a Difference in Children in Care Services

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Social Worker – Children in Care (CIC) to join a dedicated Children and Young People’s service in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to support children and young people in care, ensuring stability, safety, and positive long-term outcomes.

You will be part of a supportive team working in a hybrid model, combining office-based collaboration with flexible working.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring their needs are met through effective planning
Complete statutory visits, care plans, and reviews in line with legislation
Work closely with foster carers, families, and partner agencies
Promote placement stability and positive outcomes for children and young people
Contribute to pathway planning and long-term permanency arrangements
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and reviews
Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and reporting
Safeguard children and manage risks effectively

About You

We are looking for a skilled and committed Social Worker with strong experience in Children in Care services.

Essential Requirements:

Registered with Social Work England
Proven experience working within a Children in Care (CIC) team
Strong understanding of UK child protection legislation and statutory responsibilities
Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
DfE compliance requirements completed

Working Arrangements

Hybrid working model
2–3 days per week based in the office
Remaining time working flexibly in the community or remotely
