Senior M&E Construction Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Reporting to: Head of Field Operations
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical and Electrical Engineer Construction Engineer to join our UK team. This role plays a critical part in coordinating engineering deliverables across complex infrastructure projects, ensuring timely submission, resolving technical challenges, and maintaining project momentum.
As a Senior Mechanical and Electrical Engineer Construction Engineer, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting technical reviews and providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor engineering deliverables in line with project schedules

Support technical reviews and resolve design-related queries

Liaise with internal teams (engineering, design, procurement, construction) and external stakeholders

Attend and contribute to daily technical and project meetings

Represent the engineering function in client and designer discussions

Provide backup for critical engineering tasks to avoid delays

Review and verify engineering documentation for compliance and quality

Support project delivery including risk management and stakeholder engagement

Apply knowledge of primary equipment (CB, DS, ES, CT/VT, SA, Transformers, Reactors, Capacitors, Line Traps)

Support integration of secondary systems (Protection & Control, batteries, DG, etc.)
Experience Required
-
Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical and Electrical Engineer Construction Engineer within infrastructure or power projects

Strong track record of coordinating engineering deliverables

Solid understanding of primary and secondary electrical equipment
-
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
-
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently

Proficiency in engineering tools (e.g. MS Project) and digital workflows

Excellent communication and documentation skills
Qualifications
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

Valid CSCS card (or equivalent)
-
Full UK driving licence
