Senior Quantity Surveyor in Hampton, Middlesex

Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, who will be required to work on a Contract or Permanent basis in Hampton (Hybrid).
Role Purpose:
- Take full commercial responsibility for the management of significant Waste Water project(s).
- Report directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor to ensure financial targets and business requirements are met.
- Strengthen the commercial team through collaborative leadership and professional excellence.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Perform full quantity surveying duties, managing specific projects and work packages from inception to completion.
- Liaise closely with design, construction, and supply chain teams to accurately capture, analyse, and control costs.
- Manage the main contract, ensuring all contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised appropriately.
- Prepare and issue comprehensive subcontract documentation and oversee subcontractor performance.
- Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
- Produce accurate project cost/value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assist in the management, mentoring, and development of junior commercial staff.
- Maintain a solution-oriented approach, providing honest feedback and upholding strict confidentiality.
- Represent the department professionally while building constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Essential:
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Working towards or holding Chartered Membership of a recognised professional institution (e.g., MRICS).
- Proven experience within the Utilities, Civil Engineering, or MEICA sectors.
- Demonstrable experience with IChemE forms of contract.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in managing and developing individuals or small commercial teams.
